Wakir, is a music lover, Brazilian saxophonist, and has collaborated with groups of different musical styles with great prominence in Brazilian popular music.

Born on May 27, 1986 in the city of Goiânia, Goiás. He began his first steps in music as a teenager when he entered a "fanfare" at the school where he studied. With no musical influence on the family, at the age of 14 he began to learn the first notes by playing the trumpet. Walkir's talent soon developed and caught the conductor's attention. He encouraged him to enter a music conservatory in Goiânia, the Gustav Ritter Institute of Arts Education. 

Going on to study the theoretical part, Walkir began his first and only musical passion: the saxophone. "I fell in love with sound and wanted to abandon the trumpet," comments. So I sought knowledge for the instrument and had its greatest influences, Kenny G, Eric Marienthal, Michal Lington, Dave Koz, Marcelo Martins, Ed Calle, Kenny Garrett, Watten Hill, Michael Brecker, Gerald Albright, Ever Harpette, Maceo Parker. At the end of the course at the Institute, he began to work as a musician teaching at the school where he studied in childhood.

At the same time as he became professional, Walkir began to realize that something else was missing in his career. That's when at the age of 18 he started performing with a Bahian band of axé. The trajectory from the classroom to the stage has not stopped there anymore. The musician was part of a band of forró Mangala, a musical group well known regionally in the early 2000s. Several musical partnerships were also emerging at that time, such as participation in several projects of renowned artists, such as: Dudu Nobre, Gustavo Lins, Reinaldo (Terra Samba), among others. The musician also made appearances in video clips of singer Gustavo Lima; Music video "Fui Fiel", in addition to being part of the main band of singer Israel Novaes for more than 3 years. Soon after being part of the team of singer Naiara Azevedo, performing shows together with the band at various events in Brazil.

Currently Walkir sax has been excelling in RECORDINGS OF DVDs, CDs. The Musician also has a solo instrumental project, where he performs participations in special projects of renowned music producers Daniel Silveira, Jenner Melo among others. 
Now he feels he can achieve even higher flights: "I still have the dream of recording my first instrumental solo album (Smooth Jazz)", concludes Walkir Sax.
